Saturday we went down to the MayFest, had an awesome lunch at The Cottage, then Mom and I went to get massages while the boys went home for a nap. :) I really wish I'd have taken some pictures while we were out and about during the day, but I just didn't think of it. That evening we went to walk on the beach, where I did get a few pics with my phone.
I never would have thought a macaroni necklace that I know Asher didn't even make by himself could make me so happy. I wore it proudly the entire day. :]
What an awesome weekend it was.
I know it's a hard day for a lot of people too though. I know several people who have already lost their mom, lost their babies, were never able to become a mom, or some combination of those things. For that reason especially, I make a conscious effort not to take any of those things for granted. I'm so so thankful to have such a great mother and still have her around. I'm also incredibly thankful that God not only allowed me to become a mother, but to be a stay-at-home mom as well.
Sure, there are some days I think to myself, "Boy, I could use a break. I just want some time where I don't have anyone else to watch or clean up after." But honestly, there is no other job in the world I'd rather be doing than this.
I'll leave you with a video of my sweet boy. Although spending my days with him is my dream job, it's often not a glamorous one. Happy Mother's Day, right?!
:-p
